Fruit Yogurt with Mixed Berries

fruit yogurt with mixed berriesFlavored fruit yogurt with mixed berries makes a cool and refreshingly light dessert.

I love fruit, and it adds a welcome component to any desert.  Fruit is light, refreshing, and a great way to cleanse your palate.  And sometimes it’s all you need after a successful meal, especially in warmer weather when it’s just too hot to eat heavier foods.  Serving fruit yogurt might just be your best solution for a summertime dessert.  Plain yogurt is flavored with honey, vanilla, and cinnamon and then poured over mixed berries.  It’s a dessert that is very easy to prepare and can be made in part or entirely ahead.  This frees up your valuable time for more important things… like hanging out with your guests.

Enjoy!

Here is how I did it!

Grab a medium bowl and combine your Strawberries, blueberries, and sugar.  Hold off on adding your blackberries until the end as they are extremely delicate.  Mix everything well and set aside.  You can always prepare the berry mix ahead and refrigerate for 2-4 hours.

Grab a small bowl and combine your plain yogurt, honey, vanilla, and cinnamon.

Grab your dessert glasses and spoon in the berry mixture.  Top with 2-3 tablespoons  of the fruit yogurt.  Garnish with the blackberries and a spring of mint (optional).  Pour the remainder of the fruit yogurt into a small server with a spout and serve along with your dessert.  Easy and delicious!
