Irish Cream Cocktail for the Holidays

irish cream cocktailAn Irish cream cocktail is a thick and creamy drink for the holidays.

The holidays are for celebrating, so why not add another dimension to “holiday cheer”?  Try my Irish cream cocktail, and you’ll be off to a great start.  This recipe combines light cream and sweetened condensed milk to create a richness that goes down ever so smoothly.  The flavor is just as luscious with a hint of coffee to tickle your tongue.  The addition of vanilla extract only enhances this delicious drink.  Chocolate syrup brings out the sweetness, while the rum adds a bit of a kick.  So, are you smiling yet?  My Irish cream cocktail adds a whole new dimension to “holiday cheer” doesn’t?  Go ahead, try it…Happy Holidays!

Here is how I did it!

You can use a blender or shake it up yourself with a large covered container.  I always use a covered jar; just as I do when I make salad dressings.  Place the coffee and hot water in first, mix it up a bit to dissolve the coffee particles.  Add the light cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, chocolate syrup, and rum.  It’s just one quick shake and you’re done.  No mess to clean up and your container acts as your storage…if there are any leftovers.  Sprinkle each serving with fresh ground nutmeg and just sit back and enjoy.  It’s as easy as that!

Keep these ingredients on hand and you can whip up a batch anytime.
